Bodu Beru

Boduberu is the cultural drumming music of the Maldives. In Boduberu shows there is a lead singer and a band of 10-15 people who sing in chorus. As the song continues, the rhythm picks up and Maldivians come out of the troupe and dance to the tunes of the drumming music and songs. Spectators join the fun with claps and moves. Maldives folk dance to Boduberu has a tribal niche to it and takes place during the festive occasions.
