Money is of great importance when you are in any foreign destination. When arriving at the airport you can exchange dollars for local currency and even purchase a local sim card (costs about $11 - $50 depending on the package, passport is needed). Most of the restaurants and other shops in Thulusdhoo Maldives do accept United Stated dollars but you may want to carry some local currency just in case. You can also exchange currencies in the Thulusdhoo island hotels, some shops, and even restaurants. Remember to keep it to a bare minimum though as you might find yourself having excess local currency at the end of the trip.

Remember to dress accordingly. Walking around in bikinis and other revealing clothes are prohibited on the local islands of Maldives to respect the culture of Muslims.
